The IHU MSc in Sustainable Development intake is every October.
This programme offers students challenging, cross-disciplinary modules that are specifically designed to provide a well-rounded education on the multitude of issues in sustainable development. The MSc in Sustainable Development provides the necessary theoretical background to understanding the concept of sustainable development in relation to the operation of firms and organisations and the applied tools and techniques to integrate sustainable practices in their management.
Students can choose the Sustainable Strategies stream or the Sustainable Tourism stream.

Some of the courses of the MSc are: Introduction to Environmental Science and Sustainable Development | Business and the Environment | Introduction to Environmental Economics and Policy | Strategic Planning and Environmental Legislation | Environmental Management Systems, Auditing and Assessment | Quantitative and Research Methods | Environmental Assessment, CBA | Sustainable Tourism Planning | Strategic Marketing for Sustainable Tourism | The economics of sustainable tourism.

To be considered for the MSc in Sustainable Development at the IHU, candidates are required to have:
· a good university degree in a relevant subject from a recognised University
· proof of English competence [a recognised certificate of Proficiency, or recently acquired IELTS (7 and above), or TOEFL (IBT, 100 and above), or TOEIC (900 and above) SCORE]
· two academic references
A personal interview may be required.

To apply for the MSc in Sustainable Development, you will need to provide the following documents:
– a completed application form, including personal statement (500 words)
– a certified copy of your degree certificate, and transcripts detailing the courses studied and grades attained
– two references: one from an academic and one from your employer. Both referees should have direct knowledge of your suitability for THE MSc study
– two recent passport-size photographs
– your English language test score report
– your CV (resume)
