We are currently looking for chefs to work in a variety of kitchens, ranging from smaller lunch restaurants to à la carte restaurants, large restaurant chains and catering events in the Helsinki Metropolitan area. Our chefs are passionate about food, eager to work mainly in small teams and have a true all-rounder attitude required in Nordic settings. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:
• Vocational qualification in the restaurant and catering industry
• Minimum 2 years of work experience from different types of kitchens and tasks, mainly casual à la carte
• Banquet kitchen experience is a bonus
• Good/excellent spoken English skills
• Willingness to learn Finnish, starting from kitchen vocabulary, aiming at understanding written recipes
• Willingness to adapt to Finland and the Finnish/Nordic working culture
• Previous experience from working abroad is a favourable asset
• The permit to work in Finland if you are a non-EU/EEA citizen
We offer full-time employment for one year, starting in May 2016, after which the employment can be extended. The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the applicable labour agreement. We also offer a possibility to work in the skiing resorts in the exotic Finnish Lapland during winters.
