For our store in Athens Airport, we are looking for a:

Store Finance Controller/Business Navigator (ref: FBN_0315)                                                                                                                                                     

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for:

  • Identifying and evaluating business opportunities to enable the IKEA store to make optimum decisions
  • Securing the legal and fiscal compliance of the store operations concerning bookkeeping and accounting
  • Supporting all store functions to improve their performance
  • Monitoring & following up all operating costs & P&L elements of the store
  • Lead the budget and goal setting process in the store
  • Securing that the store follows the financial routines so that the management, business steering and follow up processes of all departments in the store work
  • Ensuring that all managers with budget responsibility are trained in reading and understanding financial reports in order to be able to carry their responsibilities
  • Selecting, developing and maintaining a motivated team capable of producing the agreed objectives                            

You have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar managerial position, ideally in the high volume retail sector
  • Analytical and numerical abilities
  • Very good planning, organizational and follow up skills and team oriented personality
  • Achievement drive, initiative taking and problem solving skills
  • Good People management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
  • University Degree, (a Post Graduate degree will be considered as an asset)
  • Very Good command of the English language
  • Very good use of MS Office (especially Excel), Hyperion & Sap
  • Able to relocate, if needed, for work reasons
