Powerplant & Development Engineer στην Aegean
The Powerplant & Development Engineer assures the efficient and airworthy operation of the company’s fleet with respect to Engines & Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
This position reports to the Powerplant Engineering Manager and brings along the following responsibilities:
• Evaluates, provides instructions and monitors the compliance of the applicable Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Information (SIs) or Modifications (Mods) relevant to the Engines & APUs, issued by the applicable authorities and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), using the company’s software system (AMOS)
• Manages the Engine Health Monitoring System and monitors engine condition & performance through it
• Coordinates and monitors the Off Wing / Off a/c Maintenance of Engines & APUs (Shop Visits) with the respective MRO (Shop) and with the Owners (Lessors) for any Technical as well as Techno-economical (Invoice reviews, MR Claims etc) issues
• Liaises with the company’s Maintenance Control Center (MCC) for any related Powerplant issues
• Liaises and provides support to Line Maintenance (either directly or through MCC) and to Base Maintenance on Powerplant related issues
• Communicates with the Aircraft, the Engine, the APU or any Powerplant Component manufacturer for related queries or component issues (e.g. interchangeabilities)
• Liaises with Maintenance Planning for the Engine or APU replacements and the accomplishment of the related AD, SI or Mod
• Liaises with Logistics for queries related to Powerplants
• Contributes to the Monthly Reliability Review for issues related to Powerplant & relevant Components, recommends solutions and monitors accomplishment as necessary
• Liaises with the rest of Technical Department Sections for Powerplant related issues during aircraft phase-in/out of the fleet (Deliveries/Redeliveries)
• Improves existing or develops new Internal or Departmental procedures in relation to Powerplant Team activities
• Participates in the Engineering A.O.G. on Duty Rota (Out of office, “On Call” support for Aircraft On Ground cases 365/24/7)

And the following educational requirements and work experience:
• Master Degree or equivalent in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with relevant (Powerplant / Gas Turbines) direction
• Fluent use of English language (spoken and written)
• Experience in Windows environment & MS Office, (Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
• Experience in Powerplant Engineering/Technical department in an Airline environment will be considered an asset
• Experience in AMOS System will be considered an asset
