HSBC Bank plc is looking for a
IT Technical Analyst
Principal Accountabilities
Work within the local IT Operations to efficiently and effectively support, operate, maintain and evolve the current system and network architecture.
Promote improvements to the Country’s work processes used by the business to carry out initiatives.
The job holder will work closely with teams & end users regarding day to day support, drive and influence the development of improvement activities supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Make recommendations to IT Operations Manager on how technology can improve service delivery and/or introduce innovation with new services/ideas.
Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior.
Strengthen the country’s knowledge, skills, and capabilities to manage information resources effectively.
Responsible for management of problem and incident resolution, pro-actively manage overall service delivery to meet internal targets. Assist with development of individual team members and the wider team to meet goals and deliver excellent customer service.
Ensure that Projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Increasing the value of the country’s information resources by leveraging the integrated technology architecture across Region/Group.
Understanding & interpreting complex business and IT requirements to deliver effective solutions to enable business growth.
Accountability for ongoing improvement of Service Quality and availability of IT Operations.
Understand the global strategies of the Group and collaborate with the business at a global level to accomplish these strategies.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Typically qualifications would include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics. Postgraduate studies in relevant field are considered an asset.
Working experience of at least 3-5 years in similar positions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
Proven ability to prioritize competing demands.
Excellent project management and time management skills.
Excellent skills in producing, updating and maintaining technical documentation.
Experience in medium, distributed IT environments.
The Technical Specialist, must have considerable, extensive and diverse experience specifically in the following categories:
Virtual Server environment (VMware)
Storage Solutions, Both SAN & NAS
Full range of Windows Desktop and Server & Linux OS
Database admin (MS SQL Server 2005-2012, Oracle 10-11g)
Fundamentals of SQL scripts and queries
Fundamentals of Network technologies. Troubleshooting skills and Methodology
Scripting technologies (e.g. PowerShell, UNIX scripting, perl, python etc.)
Monitoring tools (system/network/application level)
The following, will be considered as an additional asset:
Experience with automation or scheduling tools (Control-M, Automate)
Experience with SCCM & SCOM
Experience with IP Telephony environments
ITIL Certified
PMP or PRINCE2Practitioner Certified
Knowledge of ATM operations and protocols
Working experience in multi-national, globalized IT environment
