Spotify: Summer Internship 2014

Do you want to be a part of one of the most promising companies in the music industry and at the same time develop your career within QA? We’re now looking for an enthusiastic, skilled student with a passion for music, testing and development tools.

At Spotify testing is about finding and communicating risks, helping your fellow developers find weaknesses and inconsistencies in the way the code works, making sure that that we deliver the right thing and being the users eyes and ears where the magic happens.

You will be active as QA in a development team and work on a project that is connected to an important business need during two months where mentoring, coaching and support will be given to you on a regular basis. At the end of your internship you will present your project back to the business.

The Gig

In our goal to continue to deliver the best possible product more quickly and on different platforms we continuously need to  improve our QA process within the agile development team. To support the team to release apps in a safe and timely manner we are using tools like tours, charters, scripted testing, playbooks, test reports etc.

During the internship you will rethink the way we test things and the tools we are using. You will also help us to build a regression test set, both manual and automated, that the team can rely on and is easy to maintain.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has knowledge about manual testing and automated testing
  • Detailed-oriented and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Has experience with Java Script
  • Is in the later part of their education

Unfortunately Spotify can’t offer any support when it comes to visas, housing or transit costs for the internship.

Please remember to submit your application in English.
