Μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα “Μηχανική Πετρελαίου” του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης

Following the successful operation of the Postgraduate Program in «Petroleum Engineering» for the first time during the current academic year, the School of Mineral Resources Engineering of the Technical University of Crete (Greece), invites applications to the Program for the following academic year 2015-2016.

The Program aims to provide graduate students with a scientific background and applied knowledge in the fields of oil and natural gas exploration and production, and it leads in 1 2 months to a Master’s of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering.

Courses are taught in English. The curriculum comprises of two semesters of fulltime course work, which account for a total of 45 credits (ECTs). After successfully completing the courses, the students undertake a thesis worth 15 credits, which should be completed within three (3) months. The Program is fees-free for EU citizens. Fees for non-EU citizens are 3,000 €.

Up to 2 0 students can be admitted to the Petroleum Engineering postgraduate program (including 5 from non-EU countries), holding a Higher Education degree in Engineering or in a relevant field of Science.

The successful applicants will be selected by the Steering Committee of the Program after considering the applicants’ qualifications, the relevance of their qualifications to the Program’s curriculum, as well as the applicants’ motivation and educational/professional background. An interview may be arranged for selected applicants.
The following documents should be submitted with each application:

1.    Application form (available at the Program’s web site)

2.    Copies of the degrees and relevant documents (properly authorized if they are issued by non-Greek institutions), showing the marks per received courses

3.    If the degree has not been awarded at the time of application, a document issued by the School/Department Secretariat certifying that all the obligations for graduation have been fulfilled

4.    Proof of competence and fluency in the English language (Lower level or higher)

5.    Detailed CV indicating scientific, research, industrial, etc. experience

6.    Two reference letters (on the form available at the web site of the Program)

Applications may be submitted in person or sent by post or electronic mail to the School’s Office (School of Mineral Resources Engineering, Technical University of Crete, Kounoupidiana, 73100, Chania, Greece, email: info@peteng-master.tuc.gr), from March 1, 2 015 to June 15th, 2 015. The applicants will be ranked according to the evaluation of the steering committee. Candidates failing to certify the completion of their undergraduate studiesobligations by July 10, 2 015, will be automatically excluded from the Program.
