Aegean Airlines S.A. is seeking for a highly self-motivated Database & Systems Administrator who will be a part of the IT&T Department.
Activities:
This person will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. As a Database & Systems Administrator you will take on a key role to ensure that databases, operating systems, software systems and related procedures meet the organizational needs.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- At least 5 years of working experience on similar position.
- Strong hands-on technical infrastructure skills including Desktop Services, Servers, networking components including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience on administration of Oracle and Microsoft databases.
- Design database servers.
- Manage and maintain databases.
- Design data distribution and archiving solutions.
- Design database security.
- Create and implement database objects.
- Optimize data.
- Experience on working within virtualization technologies – in particular Hyper-V.
- A clear understanding of SAN storage topologies.
- Hands-on experience with Linux systems.
- Appropriate engineering qualifications/certifications of the above technologies would be an advantage to your application.
- Excellent command of the English language.
